Noir by Ars Dada

Ars Dada returns with a very unique and fresh release, Noir. Taking inspiration from his nordic surroundings and love of old Ninja Tune records, Ars Dada has created a very rich and soulful sounding EP. It is quite a departure from his previous dark DnB and rave heavy tracks and considerably less “dancefloor” orientated, but Noir oozes style and character, which makes for a very pleasant listening experience and demonstrates his skills beyond the dancefloor.

Here is what Ars Dada says about the release…

When I first got into electronic music it was the eclectic jazz sounds of artists and bands like Amon Tobin, Jaga Jazzist, Xploding Plastic and the likes, who first pulled me in. Ever since I’ve always wanted to do an EP in that sort of style, but never really got around to it.

Until now.

Most of the tracks was written during the bleak, dark, cold and windy wintermonths in Bodø, Norway – 78 km north of the polar circle, which definitely has had it’s colouring on the EP. That along with the film noir’esque feel.of several of the tracks helped inspire the title of this EP, Noir.

Noir will be released via the Draug Media Bandcamp page on 6th June 2020 and then all other digital platforms shortly after.
