SCHEME BOY

SCHEME BOY PROFILE PHOTO

Scheme Boy brings over 20 years of DJing, production and event promotion experience to the UK underground. From Acid and IDM to Breakcore, Bass, Techno and Hardcore, his reach spans genres — often traversing several of them within a single set.

As a DJ, he has become a festival mainstay, with appearances at Bang Face, Balter, Glade, Boomtown and Defqon.1. His multi-genre sets are renowned for their scope and storytelling; rather than simply mixing tracks, he constructs sweeping sonic journeys, drawing from disparate scenes and styles to craft something deeply personal and emotionally resonant. Rooted in the Breakcore and Hardcore circuits of Europe, he has never shied away from incorporating melody and harmony into harder frameworks. The result is more than functional dance music — it is immersive, dynamic and deliberately emotive.

As a producer, Scheme Boy has collaborated with The Teknoist, Dolphin, Enduser, Kursa and Ben Pest, among others. His work has appeared on labels including Ninja Columbo, Peace Off / Bang-a-Rang, Industrial Strength, Sustained Records, Nekrolog1k, Ad Noiseam, Rancorous Records, Anticlone, Love Love and Murder Channel. Beyond the club circuit, his music has featured in video games and television, and he has contributed to over 70 music education textbooks.

As a promoter, he co-founded London’s Adverse Camber collective, responsible for the infamous Awesome Power parties. Two decades on, he continues to curate events featuring both established figures and emerging talent through his Varispeed Artist Management agency and the monthly Varispeed Socialz events in Bristol.
